If you have someone (son, niece, daughter, your partner, your pet animal,..so on) you love then this blog is for you.
There is a little girl in my life who doesn't know how much she had changed me. she is my niece. she has tiny hands, brightest eyes, small toes like toys, and innocent face. When she call me ….(samma) trying to say sano mumy (aunt) and runs into my arms I literally melt and i silently make a promise that “ I will protect this world for you”.
You might not know her but may be you have someone like her in your life : a niece, a child, a brother, a sister, or even your pet animal. Someone you would do anything for. As a Forestry student I learn about forest, climate, ecosystems, and biodiversity everyday. But none of those words feel real until I look deep at her.
When she plays under a tree, I wonder, Will there still be clean air when she grows up? When she splashes in the rain puddles, I ask to myself, will the rivers still flow freely without pollution or will they dry up? When she pick wild-flowers and smiles, I fear , will those flowers still bloom in the future forest and nature we are creating?
Because what we do today, how we treat nature, how we consume, how we care, decides whether those innocent smiles can last. This is not just about forest. It’s about love. If you have ever loved someone truly and deeply then you already have a reason to care about the earth. Because this planet is their future, their oxygen, their food, and their joy. And if you have ever watched someone you love sleep peacefully, you have probably whispered in your heart: “I hope the world stay kind to you” but kindness starts with us.
So this blog is for you if you have ever loved someone. It's a gentle reminder that protecting nature is not only about activism or laws. It's about love. It's about doing something today no matter how small , make sure that someone you love can live, breathe, and smile tomorrow.
If my post touched even one heart, if even one person decides to plant a tree, pick up trash or pause before polluting, then this post will have done what I have hoped 😀.
Will you protect the Earth for someone you love?
